Vmware migration to XCP-NG no longer works

Can you provide more info? Are you using XOA (if yes which release channel? up to date?) or XO from the source? (which commit? and from which one it's broken?)

Respect, I have never received such a quick answer in a forum.Our environment:
16x HPE Server DL380 Gen 10 with XCP-NG
5x HPE 3Par 8000 series storage
1x HPE MSA 2050 Storage
XOA Appliance current version: 5.94.2 - XOA build: 20240401 -
So you are on XOA latest, which should work. Can you try to go back on "stable" release channel to compare and find if there's a regression?

I have already changed from 1.93.1 to 1.94.2 because I had this error. Both versions give the same error.

Okay can you tell us more about the VMware environment? VMware version, and the type of VMware storage used?

Vmware Enterprise Edition 7.0.3
NSX 3.2.3.1 -
So my advice:
- If you have a support subscription, open a ticket, we'll try to get more details on the error to understand what's going on
- If you don't, also open a ticket and wait for Tuesday for @florent to take a look (Monday is off here)

Why not use professional virtual machine backup and migration software? That will save a lot of trouble, especially when you need to migrate so many VMs

I first migrated the VMs with the Vin Chin backup software. However, you have to manually customize each machine anyway, which is why the XAO Vmware migration worked best for me.The problems with the XOA migration tool comes from an XCP-NG patch.

@aurora-chase this behavior is not welcome here, and it's not the first time I'm seeing you doing this. You are often telling about "using professional solution instead [of Xen Orchestra]", so if you have some stakes at VEEAM or VinChin, please tell it clearly.

There was an incorrect persona definition on the storage volume for the VinChin backup server. -
