I'm trying to export from a VMware vSAN Cluster on VMware ESXi, 7.0.3, 23307199 to a new XCP-NG XO pool. XO is on commit 990c2. XCP-NG is on v8.2

First, importing a VM that's on the vSAN datastore simply does not work, is this expected?

Second, I tried exporting a 12 gig VM from a NFS datastore to the local storage on an XCP-NG host, it took 4 hours, then the drive was corrupted at the end. Importing from and back to the same NFS share said it would take 15 hours, so I canceled it.

All hosts and the NAS have 4 LACP bonded ports each, on a 10-gig switch, within the same VLAN, with an MTU of 9216. Any idea what's making this take so long and ultimately failing? Is it because I'm on XO and not XOA?

        Hi,

First, I would test on XOA "Latest" than the sources, since there's already many moving pieces with VMware import, avoiding add another with a non-QA tested version 🙂

vSAN import is slow but supported.
