      @michael-manley Hi Michael, have you any plan to release a new version working with latest xcp-ng 8.3?

          @Strebor Nice BUT no development.... Unfortunately.

          Not working with latest 8.3 for a while now.

            I don't really use xcp-ng center so i don't know how stable but the build from january connects to 8.3 and seems to work?

              @redakula Hi,
              This build stopped working with the latest beta 8.3 updates (last or last couple).
              Worked before.

                I just tested and it connects just fine for me to a fully up to date 8.3 install...

                  @redakula Deleted all the files, downloaded fresh added server and no it doesn't here.

                  It did.

                    hello, @michael-manley do you have any plans for builds that work on macOS and Linux desktops? I tried and managed to compile this in VS for macOS but it doesn't even launch (it crashes on start, segmentation fault).

                    It would be really nice to be able to use XenCenter without requiring Windows in the same time.

                      @petr-bena Guess, getting it to work on Windows would be great before.
                      Nor seeing any development to be honest....

                        @manilx do we know what has changed in 8.3 that made this "incompatibility"? Seems like some kind of easter-egg from Citrix that Vates seems to have incorporated from their upstream by accident?

                          I take it back

                          @manilx I just tried last version of XCP-ng (from development branch) and it works with XCP-ng 8.3 beta2 just fine. The fix is already implemented. What doesn't work to you? Are you just missing a built version?

                              @petr-bena Hi

                              downlodad your build and it works. The app check update always sent me to nightly build 99.99.99.30 which didn't work.

                                @manilx yes because the fix was made 2 weeks ago https://github.com/xcp-ng/xenadmin/commit/cd4c62ee48a2288a01c8b902df4eba0293b27b8e but latest download is from January. Version I shared is from last HEAD of repository, it's newer than what you had.

                                  @petr-bena Great. Problem is that even with this new version an update check lands me on the old January build.

                                  Should always land me on your last version.... Not into github and stuff 😉

                                    Hello everyone,

                                    So, XCP-ng Center will no longer be updated, right? Because I upgraded to version 8.3 and can no longer use XCP-ng Center to manage the servers.

                                    Is there any way I can manage the XCP-ng 8.3 servers, or do I have to revert to XCP-ng 8.2?
                                    Sorry, I have searched through all the topics but still can't solve my problem.

                                    Thank so much.

                                      @Seneken that build I shared here works with latest XCP-ng, current maintainer on github just didn't make a release for latest codebase, but master branch in github works with latest version just fine

                                        @Seneken Have you considered using Xen Orchestra (XO) instead of XCP-ng Center? XO is the recommended solution to manage Xenserver or XCP-ng hosts and pools. The Xen Orchestra from Source comes with all the bells and whistles for a homelab, while the Xen Orchestra Appliance (XOA) is intended for enterprise scenarios with support. But you most likely already know that and are just interested in a windows client 😇

                                          @petr-bena Hi, I found your build from this link. I wil try it now and report to you later.

                                          Thank much 😉

                                          Yup, I know about Xen Orchestra (XO) and XOA. Maybe I will use it temporarily while waiting for the next version of XCP-ng Center to fully support 8.3. Of course, I still need XCP-ng Center for my colleagues who are not very familiar with the system. They have been given basic training on how to use XCP-ng Center to monitor and support the VMs when needed.
                                          Sincerely thank you for your sharing and suggestions.

                                            @errellion Have you ever considered or looked into using a USB over Ethernet utility like VirtualHere or one of the other alternatives as a work around?

                                            In a nutshell, you could deploy something like a RPI2 or RPI3 and run VirtualHere on it & plug your dongles into that and have your VM's connect to it with a USB over Ethernet client. Then you wouldn't have issues with snapshots or migrations between hosts.

                                            I use this for Wave, Software Defined Radio & ADSB dongles and USB printer - just forward the raw USB connections over Ethernet to my VM's and it's worked great for me for years.

                                            Just spitballing the idea if it helps you.
