      Hi dear,

      I would like to know how is the best way to migrate from VMware to XCP-NG, considering that my VMs can have disk size over 2TB and using iSCSI Datastores. - Maybe the new qcow2 formart can be used ?

      Could someone share the tips ?

      Regards

        @ccesario There is a running topic regarding the 2TB limit and removing it with QCOW/2 format https://xcp-ng.org/forum/topic/10308/dedicated-thread-removing-the-2tib-limit-with-qcow2-volumes/156

        I've not kept up with it as I don't have this issue, but this is very much a work in progress.

          Hi,

          If you enable qcow2, you can migrate directly your bigger drives with our V2V tool 🙂

              @olivierlambert,

              Is it recommended to run in production? 🙂
              According the thread the Block based SR is not supported (in case iSCSI).

              Now that we will have Veeam Support, Im planning moving my environment to XCP-NG

                1. It now works for block storage (iSCSI/FC)
                2. It's not production ready yet, beta starts very soon, we are at the latest alpha right now
