      I'm using XCP-NG in my home lab, and have a challenge that I'd like to know if anyone else solved.

      The host I'm running XCP on reboots faster than my used QNAP ES-model storage server. This causes the VMs whose drives are on that server to not be able to automatically start after power loss, or even reconnect the SR because it's technically "not there yet".

      Is there a way to solve this or is it just the cost of doing what I'm doing in my home lab?

        Hi,

        IIRC, there's a workaround for this. Let me ping the @Team-Storage about it.

          @dwhitehead42 You can install the plug-late-sr RPM from our repo. 🙂
          Then follow this documentation: https://github.com/xcp-ng-rpms/plug-late-sr/tree/master/SOURCES

            @ronan-a Interesting!!! Can you please provide the command for installing the plugin on 8.3 (for those not experienced installing)?

            Thx!

              @manilx Hi,

              yum install plug-late-sr

              Should do the trick to install it 🙂

                @dthenot Done! Thx a lot.

                After 8.3 updates I don't have to do anything I suppose?

                  @manilx No, nothing more to do, once installed this package remains present as long as you do not upgrade to a new major version of XCP-ng. But no issues regarding updates.

                    @ronan-a Great, thx again. Had the same issue and wasn't aware that there was a solution 😊

                      @ronan-a Thanks! I've installed the plugin, and configured it. Now to wait until the next power outage. (or until I get time this weekend to test it and annoy my family)
