Question About Multiple Remotes on XOA Backup-NG
-
Greetings,
I just had a quick question about using multiple remotes on Backup NG. Basically, if you choose to use multiple remotes, does it simply make a copy of the backups to each remote?
Thanks,
Asai -
If you use multiple remotes, it will write at all the remote at once. The max speed of the backup job will be limited to the slowest remote.

OK, thanks, I'm thinking about using 2 remotes for redundancy.

You can do so, it's a "stream", data will flow from host to XOA, then to both remotes. So there is back-pressure, that's all you need to know: https://www.quora.com/What-is-backpressure-in-the-context-of-data-streaming (the slowest remote will dictate the overall speed)

Thank you, @olivierlambert, for all you do here.
