Change default filter in VMs list from current "power_state:running"
-
Quick one.
XOA there is a view of VMs obtained by clicking Home in the left hand sidebar, and then clicking VMs.That brings up a view of a list of VMs, filtered by the default filter rule which is "power_state:running".
Can that default filter choice be changed, for instance to "None"? That is the value which makes all VMs visible in that list view.
There was a note from some time back to say that this was possible, but I cannot find the instructions.
Thanks

This can be set on a per user basis. Click the person icon at the bottom left to bring up the desired screen.

@danp thanks, that was easy. Never noticed or clicked on that icon before.

I just saw in @lawrencesystems that editing filters was a thing. And after 10min of searching the UI I couln't find it. A quick google search got me to this thread. I didn't even saw the user icon. Maybe adding a text besides like "Profile" would be an option.
Sorry for waking up an old thread. -
@bullerwins you are totally right, and that's why the whole UI will be revamped in XO 6

It's a wonderful feature, you can have customized filters for VM, storage, Templates, and Pools. Combine that with using lots of tags and it makes larger deployments very manageable.
