      TL;DR It's not working for me.

      My setup:
      XCP-NG 8.2 w/ latest updates
      Intel NUC NUC8i3BEH (with latest bios)
      Guest:

      • Ubuntu 20.04 (latest) w/ Nested Virtualiztion enabled (kernel shows virtualization is enabled grep vmx /proc/cpuinfo 👍)
      • Libvirt

      Can't do much of anything with Libvirt inside Ubuntu guest without the entire guest VM crashing everytime.

      Please share experiences, especially if you have a similar setup that is working.

        Nested virt is quiet random and not viable sometimes. I already had case where nested virt won't work on a recent i7 and worked wonderful on old CPU

          @ruskofd I appreciate the input.

          As a side note, I do have a SuperMicro+Xeon machine on the same XCP-NG pool that handles the nested virtualization quite well.

            Nested is really complicated and not very well tested (both from hardware and software perspective). So I'm not surprised about your various experience depending on the hardware.
