We have an existing continuous replication / delta backup setup. I now want to replicate 1 of the VM's to a different server (thus 1 VM will be replicated to 2 different locations that are not part of the same snapshot chain). I assume that 2 separate snapshots are thus created. When the next snapshot is taken for CR1, will this still retain the differences between it's own snapshot chain?

        2 options:

        1. Adding multiple destination SRs in the existing job (so you have one snapshot that will be "sent" to multiple places)
        2. Multiple jobs (but 1 snap per job, so more snaps)

No risk in both solutions, just more or less snapshots 🙂

Maybe I need to rephrase my question.

The VM is already part of a continuous replication chain. I now want to replicate it to another server as I am migrating the VM to a new location and it's too big to shutdown and copy. So, is it safe to replicate 1 VM to multiple locations (as part of another backup job)?

Reason I ask is, when replication starts, an initial full copy is exported with only snapshots thereafter creating a snapshot chain. Now I create another replication, in the middle of an existing chain. Are there any risks that when incremental backups / exports occur that snapshots exports can be corrupt?
