Hi,

I'm currently running XO connected to multiple pools (either through proxy or ipsec vpn) and am synching with one netbox installation.

Now I want to sync on of the other pools to another Netbox instance, but this does not seem possible.

Is this planned anywhere on the roadmap? It would be really cool to support multiple Netbox instances in XO

Hi,

Since by design we wanted to sync to a central Netbox as as "source of truth" for everything, I'm not sure to understand the use case. Can you explain the "why" please?

I have a single orchestrator instance, with multiple pools connected.
I would like to sync each pool with a seperate Netbox server.

One central login for multiple customers, with each their own pools assigned. The customers are limited to their own pools, and each have a netbox running to document their network.

@reinvtv It's a little bit of wasted resourced, but just have a few Xen Orchestra's running... just for this task.

IT is the job where you have to find a workaround for problems you can't fix yourself.

@jedimarcus true, but as this is the development part of the forum, I'm more coming from a "Nice to have" request.

The obvious solution is multiple orchestra servers

@reinvtv @jedimarcus Checking Netbox feature requests right now Would this feature still be important to you?

I'm also wondering: at the moment, there's a button in the pool's advanced tab to manually run a synchronization for that pool. But with multiple instances, how would that work? Would it synchronize the pool with all the configured instances? What if you only ever wanted to sync pool A with instance A and pool B with instance B?
