XO slow to display stats
-
Hi
here is something weird.
I have XO community edition installed in 2 VMs's:
One on Debian 12 via https://github.com/ronivay/XenOrchestraInstallerUpdater.The other on on Debian 12 using Docker via https://hub.docker.com/r/ronivay/xen-orchestra
When I open the stats tab on my VM's using the latter XO they open up immediately.
Using the former there can be a lag of up to 15s before stats show. This is weird.Any explanation?
BTW both are not on the latest commit because of the "certificate" problem.

Hi,
You should probably ask Ronivay, because he made both install systems and they are not maintained by Vates

@olivierlambert True. but then this is a community forum, so I was asking community

Ronivay has his own community and github where these issues could be reported as well. . .

Becomes a bit of a guessing game with these details, but let's go. Can you see any slowness anywhere else with the former one? Eq. SSH to the VM that runs XO works quickly, VM listing etc in the XO UI is fast and just the stats tab is slow? Anyway, based on the symptoms i'd first check that the DNS settings on the VM are working properly and there isn't for example a non-working resolver in
/etc/resolv.conf
that could timeout. -
@manilx Sure but it's better to ask on the "source" of the 3rd party provider. You decided to go to this 3rd party tool to deploy it, so it's better to ask there too (even if here he answered in this thread, I won't lock the topic obviously, but for us it's hard to make support on any 3rd party tools existing in the world to build XO: it takes resources to assist and we prefer to focus on things built with our doc)

@ronivay Hi. I only see the slowliness on the stats tab. Not anywhere else. DNS is fine.
This is a weird one. As Olivier isn't happy about this here (actually your script is what everybody, also Tom Lawrence, recommends as to how get XO community running, so I don't know the problem posting here as others might have had the same issue) I will stop the thread here (I've emailed you directly). Thx for answering! -
@manilx Just to inform that today's commit 583c7 fixed this also.

It's not that I'm not happy, I'm just explaining why it makes more sense to post issues on the GitHub repo that you used to install XO in the first place What if a 3rd party installed is installing XO in the incorrect way? We have already many messages to deal with, adding potential 3rd party installer would make it even harder for us regarding our community support
