      I tried to do Disaster Recovery Backup from VMs running on 8.3 beta2 to host running 8.2.1 with Xen Orchestra from sources (newest build), and this job ends with this error below.

      Is this supported - 8.3 to 8.2.1 DR Backup? Or something else is wrong here.

          Hi,

          Is it DR or CR? DR is using XVA files, and you cannot go from an XVA generated on 8.3 to 8.2. CR isn't affected.

              I got this error on a backup, that the VM was created on 8.2 but at this point the hosts are both updated to 8.3. Is there something I am missing? I am new-ish to XCP/Xen, but really liking it. Not sure what other info to include here.

              I was trying to do DR. I am trying CR now, and assuming it will work based on your conversation. I don't think I really need CR in this case, I am probably only backing up this VM once a year.
