      Hello,

I would very much like to use XenOrchestra in Combination with XCP-NG but considering thats its Open Source there are simply to many nag-screens which remind you to buy the XO-Appliance. I do not need commercial support. There is "This version is not bundled with any support nor updates. Use it with caution.", which is the most annoying and the "No Support", which I consider fair. But just a few minutes ago nearly the whole screen was filled by a post pointing out how unsecure this version is and that I should consider buying a commercial version. Is this really necessary? Maybe one could find a common middle point and you could remove these screens for a one-time donation. I have to be quite honest but this motivates me much more to have a look at oVirt than to buy XCP-NG. I already gave Proxmox a try but this is, but it suffered from the exact same problem. Oh Sure, we are 100% open source, but if you want PREMIUM features you need to pay a few hundred dollars a month.

      Yours sincerely
      Stefan

    • RE: Two Delta-Backups on the same host

Thanks. This worked for the first time.(I ran them manually as test). Afterwards it switched to skipped and wants to protect the VDI chain again. Can you explain that error message to me?
      Logs:
      2019-08-12T15_24_04.819Z - backup NG.txt
      2019-08-12T15_26_36.208Z - backup NG.txt

Btw: It would be great if there were an easy way to deselect all days of the month except the first. This can't be such an uncommon backup schedule and it is really annoying to have to deselect every day manually

Thanks for the quick reply and yours sincerely

    • Two Delta-Backups on the same host

      2019-08-12T13_35_31.432Z - backup NG.txt Hello,

I would like to have two chains of delta backup running on the same host. One Daily with 7 Days Retention and another one called Monthly, running on the first day of the month, with 6 Month retention. Is this even possible? I have created two backup jobs, one called Monthly and another Daily. Here are the Details:

Now we come to the part interesting part. Triggering the backup causes them to "Skip". Also, a crontab schedule is not displayed. I have attached the log and hope that it is of help.

    • Can't restore individual files

      Hello,

I am using the self-compiled version of Xen-Orchestra (last update I did was yesterday afternoon, so its pretty recent) . The version number of server and web client is xo-server 5.46.0. I have configured delta backups for a Debian 10 Test Machine. The backups are saved on a NAS connected to the Server running XCP-NG and XenOrchestra via a Gigabit-Switch. I am using NFS for the connection. Backup creation is fast and shows no problem. Now I want to try to restore only one file, browse to File Restore, select the Backup in question, but the client only shows the loading time without allowing me to restore any files. I have waited for a long time - more time than would be needed to copy the entire backup several times of Gigabit - but the screen output stays the same. How can I fix this?

      Thank you in advance
