Importing VM in Self service

I have setup XEN Orchestra. I want to use self service option of XEN Orchestra. I have setup all the necessary things but user is unable to import a VM in the resource set that I have created in self service. User can make new VM but I want that the user must be able to import the VM in ova or XVA format in self service option.

You can't import via the self service. Self is made to be used for creating VMs only, without any idea on what's going on "behind the curtains". If you want import possible, it's another use case, feel free to share why and how you are imagining it.

I just had the same issue, a sub contractor needed to import vm's for a migration project, I did not really want to make more people admin
is there anyway to give someone rights as a operator with the ability to import vm's?

That's an interesting use case, I don't know how we could set a high prio for that, obviously a pro support ticket might raise this.
