      Hi,

after I was not successfull woth XOCE, I got the XOA appliance, upgrded it to 5.40.2 and repeated the load balancing test. This time I only set the cpu thresholds to 80%. Again syslog says:

      Dec 17 05:33:00 xoa xo-server[2015]: [load-balancer]Execute plans!
      Dec 17 05:33:00 xoa xo-server[2015]: [load-balancer]Try to optimize Host (749ccd3a-2613-4e83-96f0-042dd5464e51).
      Dec 17 05:33:00 xoa xo-server[2015]: [load-balancer]Performance mode: 0 optimizations for Host (749ccd3a-2613-4e83-96f0-042dd5464e51).

Node 1 has 5 VMs, 100% cpu load. Node 2 has 6 VMs (one is XOA) and a CPU load of 22%. No VMs are migrated from Node1 to Node2. Why?

      Best regards,

      Alexander

I think not. I left it running for an hour with that load, still no migration. Second node has no load.

Please continue to use the ticket for following the issue, it's easier than tracking 2 different sources.

I didn't know about this feature, is it like vmware DRS? or is it something else like network load balancer ?
Can I get more details regarding this feature? Is it available in community version?
                thanks Marek

It's available through a plugin, available from the sources.

It's a ticket with XOA support, which is private/per user.

Did anything get resolved with this?
I'm still having the same issues where the load balancer just doesn't do anything even though it clearly should be.

@segfaultex a patch release will come this month fixing a condition preventing correct migration.
