Specify a username and password for XOA backups
-
Hi, I'm trying to set up my NFS remote for backups in XOA but I'm not able to specify a username and password. I'd rather not have to squash all users to root on my Synology NAS; how can I set this up with a username and password?

You can set specific permission for a user you create, and only authorize XOA IP.

Okay I set up the IP authorization part, but can I specify anywhere that I want to run the backup as user X ?

You can map root to a local user you created on the syno (so it's all on NFS server side configuration)
