      Hello everyone. I installed xcp-ng w/ xoa on a device and for some reason the VM is not showing memory usage. Is there a way to figure out how to get this working graph to so I can see the memory usage?

      Thanks for your review.

          You need to have the guest agent installed/working to get the memory 🙂

            @olivierlambert

            isn't that supposed to happen when you turn on Manage Citrix PV drivers via Windows Update?

            If not ... can I install xcp-ng guest with the Manage Citrix PV drivers loaded? Thanks in advance.

              This button won't install the management agent, just get the PV drivers updated via Windows Update. Can you scroll down and check the status of tools?

                Looks to me like it is not loaded. What is the best way to get it up and working?

                  You need to install the management agent inside your VM (the Citrix one if you enable Windows PV update)

                    Do you have the actually link to share for me to get to the correct citrix agent I should be using on my xcp-ng install... I am using XOA of course. I am using xcp-ng 8.2.1

                    Thanks for your review and help so far.

                      @olivierlambert

                      nm, I found it on -

                      https://xcp-ng.org/docs/guests.html#windows

                      Management agent + device drivers

                      The only way to get the management agent is from Citrix. It can be freely downloaded from the Citrix Hypervisor download page (opens new window), provided you create an account on their site. Name of the item: "Citrix VM Tools for Windows". The installer will install both the management agent and the device drivers.

                      I do appreciate you help. Have a great day.

                        Indeed, that's the way to do it 🙂

                        Now you have the agent and the PV drivers will be automatically updated via Windows update 🙂

                        edit: and you also have the memory reported too 🙂

                          Sorry, One more question... So just to be clear. 🙂 is this the download for Windows Citrix VM Tools that we have been talking about to get:

                          2023-04-12_12-06.png

                          That would be the one I would be using on my xcp-ng 8.2.1 system for the management agent.

                          Just check, check and double checking 🙂

                          Thanks again for your review and help.

                            Yes it's fine 🙂 What matters is to go either XCP tools OR Citrix, never both 🙂
