      Hello

      I have 3 physical servers

      • SXCP04 with 2 active Vms - XCP 8.2.1 up to date
      • SXCP05 - XCP 8.2.1 up to date
      • SXCP06 with new XOCE installation on port 443 with autocertification - XCP 8.2.1 up to date
SXCP04 and SXCP05 are identical and NTP servers declared on the 3 servers

On XO, I've declared the 3 servers with root and password + untrusted certificates

I can use the XO functions without any problem to manage the Vms
I wanted to create a VM Backup and Replication - Disaster Recovery
I specified the Targets SRs parameters - VMs to back up, etc ... to backup a VM from SXCP04 to SXCP05

When I validate the backup, I get an error message
      r[‘’] is undefined

and the details of the error message are :
      server.enable { ‘id’: ‘c93fd9d1-e005-4bcc-8bb5-f4a313fd1991’ } { ‘code’: ‘SESSION_AUTHENTICATION_FAILED’, ‘params’: [ ‘root’, ‘Authentication failure’ ], ‘call’: { ‘method’: ‘session. login_with_password’, “params”: “* obfuscated *” }, “message”: “SESSION_AUTHENTICATION_FAILED(root, Authentication failure)”, “name”: “XapiError”, “stack”: ’XapiError: SESSION_AUTHENTICATION_FAILED(root, Authentication failure) at Function. wrap (file:///opt/xen-orchestra/packages/xen-api/_XapiError.mjs:16:12) at file:///opt/xen-orchestra/packages/xen-api/transports/json-rpc. mjs:38:21 at runNextTicks (node:internal/process/task_queues:60:5) at processImmediate (node:internal/timers:454:9) at process.callbackTrampoline (node:internal/async_hooks:130:17)’ }

I deleted the servers and redeclared them = idem

I've deleted the authentication tokens and redeclared the servers = idem

I search on the Net but .....

      Help please 🙂

      Best regards

        Hi,

Are these hosts in the same or different pools? What is your current commit on your XO VM? Also, what version of Node is being used?

        Regards, Dan

@FACE_DVLP I don't think it matters, but I believe the instructions now call for Node 20. There's a pending fix for this issue in the branch newBackup/fixErrorWhenCreatingBackup if you want to test it.

              @Danp

I update the Node to 20.17.0 and I have the same problem

info : I install XOCE on Debian 12 Bookworm

              Ok to test the fix
Can you explain me to fix this issue on the installed XO ?

              Thanks

@FACE_DVLP It involves switching to the branch I mentioned and then rebuilding with yarn. I imagine this will be merged into the master branch fairly soon, so you may want to just wait it out.

                  Hi Danp

I update the XOCE with the branch newBackup/fixErrorWhenCreatingBackup

It's OK to create a backup task.

I never use the building ou rebuilding a branch. I learned a lot and progressed

                  After
                  Xen Orchestra, commit d0933
                  Master, commit aa490
with 4 commits behind et 4 commits ahead

I will test the backup this night

                  Thanks you very much

                  Emmanuel
