Auto Power On VMs when reboot host
-
Hi there. I maybe doing something wrong but within XOCE I have selected the option Auto Power On on all my VMs but when I reboot my host they don't power. Please can anyone help.

@marcusrushy I had the same issue with a fresh install of XCP-ng 7.6 but had not the time to investigate... can you share more details?
my details:
- XCP-ng 7.6 (fresh install, latest updates)
- maybe the partition layout is wrong (https://github.com/xcp-ng/xcp/issues/149), it's a brand new server but the vendor ran some diagnostic/burn in tools
- I did set autoboot via XCP-ng Center
- Bonus: the host stops at the grub menu, does not count to zero (may a stuck key? - need to look into that)
- XCP-ng 7.6 (fresh install, latest updates)

Mine is a fresh install of XCP-ng 7.6
Set auto start in XOCE and XCP-ng Center -
Got it working using this guide

Now in our wiki: https://github.com/xcp-ng/xcp/wiki/VM-Auto-Power-On
Tested it myself - works! -
Nice one

All those steps are automatically done in XO (when you set up auto power on in XO, it's also set up directly in the pool).
So in fact it's only 1 step for XO

@olivierlambert you are free to correct the wiki

It didn’t seem to work for me but I was only selecting auto start on the vms and did nothing with the pool

IIRC, we based the button in XO to do both modification at the same time when you set it up for a VM (in the pool if it's not enabled and in the VM).
However, it's been a while I didn't check the code, I'll take a look to be sure
