Problem with BackupNG (internal error)
-
Hello,
I tried to Backup a VM with BackupNG. Sometimes it worked successfully to backup the VMs with the Deltabackup. But most times the backups failed. So I downlaoded the Log file and there I found an URL to that showed me this Error. I found something in the Internet, that says it is an Database error from Xenserver. But I don't know how to fix it.
Hopefully someone coud help me.
Thanks for your responsRegards,
Linus

Hi,
We lack a lot of info to help you:
- What's your XenServer version? Is it up to date?
- The exact error message from the backup log
- Are you running XOA or Xen Orchestra from the sources? Is it up to date? if from the sources, did you followed the official doc instructions or a 3rd party script?

XenServer Version: 7.6
Backup Log File: 2019-05-02T06_59_08.172Z - backup NG.txtIm running XOA with license, we got the finished XOA VM.

I see
"product_brand": "XCP-ng"in the log file, so are you sure it's XenServer?Double check both XS/XCP-ng and XOA are fully up-to-date.
Anyway, this error is coming from the host, not Xen Orchestra: something is wrong within your host while attempting to do a delta operation. You can also try to restart the toolstack and see if the problem is fixed.

Sorry, yes we use XCP-NG with the Version 7.6. So I try to restart the Host and after that I will do some Updates.

Good, keep us posted. Also, as you have Pro support, you could create a ticket in your support zone: there is a response time guarantee that you haven't in the forum

We could fix the problem. We had a full log partition on our xen host. This coused the problems with the backups. I hope this information helps you.
