I go to create a pool network. Bonded is available, but private networks is greyed out and not available. I have three (very small) pools and it is the same for all three pools.

Any ideas? What should I look at to troubleshoot?

What edition of Xen Orchestra are you using? XOA or XO from the sources?

          The former - XOA

            Hi,

The SDN controller (plugin required to create private networks) is only available on XOA Premium.
It is available for free if you build Xen Orchestra from the sources.

            Regards.

So, meta-question. I have said it before that I love XOA Premium, and I would like to support it, but I am just me and it is out of my price range - because it isn't worth accepting individuals like me for the ROI.

              So

Is it best from me to build from sources myself (say, in order to get private networks and who knows what else) or should I use the XOA free tier?

I'm assuming the answer is "If you can handle building from source, then you should do so."

Any guidance on this would be appreciated.

              Best,
              Chaim

As an individual, I don't see the downside of using it from the sources (except the fact you'll need to follow a 5min walk-through instead of 2 clicks).

Thank you for your advice. I will probably attempt the change over this weekend.
