      Seen with my XCP-NG 8.3 beta lab server (I do not know if it is the same with 8.2 since my 8.2 servers are in a datacenter and have no changes in NICs while operating):

      • a cable plugged in a NIC is not seen in XOA as connected before being disconnected and reconnected by the dedicated icon. Once unplugged, no change in status (still seen as connected).

      • XSconsole reflects the status accurately.

      • I did not check with XCP-NG Center since it has not be updated yet for 8.3 beta.

      This not a terrible issue, but it happens with any NIC (intel 10 Gb SFP+ or Broadcom NetXtreme 1 Gb)

        Hi,

        Yes, I think we've seen no XAPI event was triggered when it happens, explaining why XOA can't see it except if you disconnect/reconnect the pool. Feel free to report on https://github.com/vatesfr/xen-orchestra/

          @olivierlambert
          There is already an open ticket for me: 17464 "XOA is not reporting correct NIC state"

            @KPS This is an internal ticket. But I'm not against having a public issue as well 🙂
