      Hi!

The delta-backups of my windows VMs are quite large, although, there should not be much "change" on the system disk.

      What I already did:

      • Additional disk with "[NOBAK]" with profiles and pagefile

--> As XOA does not have an option to exclude pagefile, I did move it to another drive

--> In therory, there should be nearly "no" writes to the system disk and so a very small change rate

But: I am still seeing about 10-20 GB daily per VM.

Are you aware of any other "tricks" to reduce the size?

      Best wishes
      KPS

I've noticed Windows is a very disk-intensive OS. One tool that helps me look at where these writes are happening is SysInternals Process Monitor. It can show File System usage in real-time.

@KPS Perhaps consider AppV. MSIX. or some third party application sharing option for a chunk of the applications, which would reduce the size of the VM images? Also, perhaps the log verbosity could be reduced?
