Is there a free version of Xen Orchestra and if so, where can it be downloaded?

I find the instructions rather confusing, the documentation says

"You can also download XOA from xen-orchestra.com in an XVA file. Once you've got the XVA file, you can import it with xe vm-import filename=xoa_unified.xva or via XenCenter."

But there is a distinct lack of anything between "you can download" and "once you've got".

The paid versions seem overkill for my uses (3 host home lab). My goal is replacing my current vSphere home lab.

Check out the XO deployment page: https://vates.tech/deploy/
It automatically installs an XO appliance onto your chosen host.

Yes, I read that. But I was confused about the text I quoted, which said you can download XOA as an XVA file from xen-orchestra and then in the next sentence assumes that you have done this without giving a download link or some other way to find out where to find the XCA file.

@ajbrehm-0 You can also use this: https://github.com/Jarli01/xenorchestra_installer?tab=readme-ov-file

                  One line command

@ajbrehm-0 Can you point to the exact place you've seen that text? So we can update it to make it easier 🙂

That's a very specific area of the doc, before that you have all the links to deploy it easily 🤔

Sometimes we want to try harder 🙄
Perhaps the confusing part is, if I go to https://xen-orchestra.com/ there is no download link. One could not realize, the download option is behind login. I'm only guessing.

That's not the confusing part reported initially.

@olivierlambert I didn't want to use any of the other deployment methods because my hosts are not connected to the internet. So I looked through the documentation to find out how to do an offline install. That's when I ran into the issue that I couldn't figure out where to download the appliance.

It has now been resolved. Someone gave me the download page.
