      Are you sure those backup are complete? It seems it's waiting for a stream end and it's not correct.

      Also, please double check your XS is fully up to date (is it now?)

          Can you try with a trial version of XOA, this way we could rule out an environment problem.

            One more note:
            If I import the xva file manually from the NAS to the xen server, the restore works.

                Hi Olivier

                I got the appliance running. The backup and restore works from this installation as expected.
                Apparently the problem seem to be with the installation on the Ubuntu server.
                What else can I do, to make the free version work?

                    @Role-F I would suggest trying a more recent version of Ubuntu.

                        @Danp My first try was with ubuntu 18.04, but it did not work (100% cpu load). I could make another try ...
