Hello. Maby a redundant question - I cannot find any reference on hot adding hardware support or option anywhere. For instance, I am trying to add more RAM to some VMs. Also, some of them would benefit from giving additional vCPUs. Any info about this? Is it possible, maby through CLI? Or currently not possible at all?

      Thank you!

        Hi,

@lawrencesystems did that for you already ๐Ÿ˜‰

For memory, you can but it's not recommended for Windows VM and you should be careful on the dynamic min settings.

@olivierlambert Oh it was just released when I asked ๐Ÿ˜„ that is fantastic. So for vCPUs, I am good to go. The only question remains about hot-add RAM.
Any suggestions @lawrencesystems? Any upcoming video for this?

@damjank seems you can use Dynamic Memory Control (DMC) or RAM ballooning to hotplug more RAM to VM.

It was deprecated in XenServer about 2020.
Didn't try to use it for a long time.
