after restarting xo-proxy.service, I was able to use its local storage as a backup target.
It's cleaner than creating an NFS loopback

Hello,
I'm trying to set up a new proxy-based backup storage. But even though I'm able to select a local storage, after validation XOA says “Local remotes are disabled in proxies”.
Is there a problem with my installation or is this the normal behavior?

@David Thanks, my backups suddenly fail since today, after removing all retention settings except “daily backup”, they work perfectly as last year.

@StormMaster Thank you - I experienced that too , 2 backup plans with same VMs. Backup failed once out of two with error message "can't create a stream from a metadata VDI, fall back to a base"

@Forza I'm also experiencing the same problem (when trying to restore a file, the machine freezes). To get out of it, I have to restart the XOA service. I'm a bit embarrassed, but did you finally get a solution from support?

@CJ on my installation, a full followed by an incremental or the reverse does not result in 2 snapshots but only one. 2 snapshots appear temporarily only when the backup is in progress.

@olivierlambert Thank you for this explanation of the snapshot. However, does this snapshot decrease the performance of the virtual machine (as with LVM for example) on which it was generated or does it not affect performance at all ?
