@stormi the LINUX OS under XCP-NG detects the cards but xcp-ng says that no ethernet was detected. Even after some emergency network resets.
Hardware is fine. As said, solved reinstalling, but this is not the first time, after upgrading it happened some times but solved with emergency network reset

RE: XCP-ng 8.3 betas and RCs feedback 🚀
After doing a yum update on one of my 8.3 RC1 server and rebooting, there were no ethernet cards detected.
It happened from time to time in older versions of xcp-ng but after rebooting some times and doing emergency network reset worked fine before. This time it didn't.
Finally I reinstalled RC2 from ISO.
I have two HPE (ProLiant ML350 Gen10), and the master is the one showing this problem, the other one doesn't show this problem.
Doing a yum update in the secondary server promoted to master worked as a charm.
Any ideas? -
RE: XO Lite: building an embedded UI in XCP-ng
@tony I agree, but I think the most important is to start/stop a machine, the other can be done with XO

RE: [SOLVED] Migrate XO from sources to another machine
@danp hi I did it but, no network shares have been imported and neither backup jobs.
will try to reboot machine
Well Rebooting did the job, thanks @Danp -
[SOLVED] Migrate XO from sources to another machine
hi,
I've been having problems upgrading XO from sources 5.78 in my ol VM with Debian 9, so I tried a clean installation on Debian 11 and it works.
Is it possible to migrate all my backup jobs and configuration from my old VM to the new oneThanks

RE: Blank Screen CentOS 8 in fresh xcp-ng 8 installation
@Kraken89 maybe you can try to attack the hard disk to an existing VM and try to boot?, I think in my case was that the template had PV enabled

RE: Blank Screen CentOS 8 in fresh xcp-ng 8 installation
@linhnb hi, I had similar problem in xenserver 7.0 old times. Did you use CentOS template??, try to create a new VM with windows server template or maybe ubuntu and attach the hard drive from CentOS VM, it will probably work.

RE: Deleting 25 vms - stuck, nothing happening
@akurzawa Maybe there are snapshots involved? Have you tryed from XCP-ng Center? maybe there is a message you're not seeing

RE: Scheduling continuous replication on xo-server built from sources
maybe you could provide a screen with job properties?

RE: Xen Orchestra Backup Stuck
@jagdtigger hi, is quite usual that XO uses all memory, don't know why it happens and doesn't happen on XOA. My VM now uses 3GB of RAM and I programmed a reboot everyday on cron tasks before starting backups, works fine. Also noticed that when shuting down servers on powerfailure, takes around 30 minutes to shutdown XO VM with xe cliente, so I runt a ssh shutdown of machine and every works fine.

RE: VM backup to local storage
hi, take a look at the job properties, have you selected the target storage for backup?

RE: XCP-ng 8.0.0 released!

RE: backups show wrong size

RE: All hosts restart, xoa vm restart, host unavailable during xoa start = missed backup
@akurzawa hi, if you are using XO from sources latest version is 5.40

RE: Citrix Hypervisor 8.0 landed
I hope XCP-ng will support legacy CPUs as I have E5-24XX series servers
I guess they will work fine but as they are not supported officially ... -
RE: Suggestion - hibernate/suspeng VMs during restart
@akurzawa hi, I've done it when installing patches before rebooting no problem so far, but as said here maybe is not a good practice.

RE: Experimental update of CentOS packages
Interesting, would you add packages like apcupsd?? I could use a standard PC to install it and do some test, we only have a production pool and few money

RE: Introduce yourself!
hi,
I worked with vmware ESXi for years then moved to xenserver since version 7.0, now I'm waiting for stable xcp-ng to move our servers I don't like the path citrix is taking
I'm also using xen orchestra for backups.
Oliver continue this fantastic job
