@ph7 Well, why does the test email from the plugin config work just fine? Doesn't make any sense.

Anyway changed to Protonmail smtp server, so will see how this goes.

@manilx Whatever I have set in the email settings, test emails are sent/received BUT backup failure emails are never sent!
This feature is broken. Using XO, currently at Master, commit b9fc6 but this has not been working for a long time here.

Hmm that's weird, we need to check it internally. Ping @lsouai-vates

@olivierlambert @manilx and @ph7 we have an issue in github about it: https://github.com/vatesfr/xen-orchestra/issues/8544

@lsouai-vates Great! I was getting crazy about this, searching for the problem on my end....

But the Github issue is a different problem. I only have one pool 2 hosts. And I NEVER get any email when the backup fails.

@manilx I checked with XO team, can you check you config? They made some test and it works on their side...

An example that can help you

@manilx anyway, don't hesitate to open your own github issue if needed...

Not working. Again: the test email is sent and received just fine! The settings here are not the issue.

The issue is that the backup process does not send the email if it fails.

@manilx @florent do you have an idea on what can be broken there...?

@lsouai-vates P.S. This HAS been working a while ago!!
I just noticed that it broke when there was a backup job, which had an error and I didn't receive an email. So I can't say when the issue started.
