Can you try with a trial version of XOA, this way we could rule out an environment problem.

        One more note:
If I import the xva file manually from the NAS to the xen server, the restore works.

            Hi Olivier

I got the appliance running. The backup and restore works from this installation as expected.
Apparently the problem seem to be with the installation on the Ubuntu server.
What else can I do, to make the free version work?

@Role-F I would suggest trying a more recent version of Ubuntu.

@Danp My first try was with ubuntu 18.04, but it did not work (100% cpu load). I could make another try ...

@Role-F Please try to stick to our official documentation to install it, otherwise it's hard to assist: https://xen-orchestra.com/docs/from_the_sources.html
