@brezlord It's not in the sources version yet, at least as of a build I did a few days ago, haven't checked the actual code.

But if you want to test it out, you can do it with XOA free edition, not sure if it works without registering (but I think it does), but since it's free to do so there is no cost to try it out.

@planedrop Thanks. I have deployed XOA and there is no v6 preview available. I did not register for a trial licence.

@brezlord It's there. You have to modify the URL by adding /v6 (before the #)

            /v6

            https://192.168.40.198/v6

All I get is "Cannot GET /v6" printed in the browser.

@brezlord Ah... ok.. That makes sense because you haven't registered and updated the appliance. We don't build a new appliance with each release of XOA, so the version is older when it is initially deployed.

You need to update to a later release for the v6 preview to be available. It should work without needing to start a trial, but you likely need to at least register it.

That was it. Once updated through the XOA web app I can now see the v6.

                Thanks,
                Looking Good.

@brezlord, how did you update exactly?

I have commit: 79ce9 (the latest as of this writing) and it still doesn't have "v6".

@Ashkaan The v6 preview is currently not available in XO from sources. You would need to deploy an instance of XOA to have this option.

Oh! Ok, I misunderstood the thread.

                      Thanks so much!

We made the route and the build in XOA because it's easier for us, you just need to register/update, no trial is even needed to enjoy it 🙂

@olivierlambert I think I would lose the ability to backup, no?

@Ashkaan you can run xoa alongside your normal configuration if you want to preview it.

Yes, no issue to have 2 XOs running at the same time, just don't mix backup jobs between the 2 😄 (so no risk to use XOA Free)

@olivierlambert Yes, this worked great! I’ll just keep both until v6 releases.

Thought it not worthwhile to create a new topic just to get an update on this topic.

It seems the answer is clear but is v6 preview available in the source install yet? Just tried it with commit 90d12 and it's still saying it can't get v6.

                                    Just checking. Thanks.

Reach out to who's script you are using for deploying XO from sources.

This script - https://github.com/ronivay/XenOrchestraInstallerUpdater there is an option in the config file to enable XOv6. There are concerns with not being fully ready to its disabled by default. I currently have not any issues related to that.

@acebmxer Yes, that's it! Thank you. I stumbled across the v6 flag in another thread and was just coming back here to provide the answer.

I repeated the Update process and v6 is now available.

Prior to myself finding that option in the config file use to run this command that worked as well..

                                          cd /opt/xo/xo-web

sudo yarn run turbo run build --filter @xen-orchestra/web
