@stormi can you please tell us more about this moosefs driver?
Was on the very first XenSource 3 training in North America and was the first to fet the final grade of 100% on it. Since then, I have been using and following the Xenserver, XCP, Citrix Hypervisor and now XCP-ng evolution.
Sorry, I forgot to specify that my question concerned backup of VM not the actual creation. So I'll rephrase.
When you fast-clone a VM and reuse the base disk for multiple VM, do backup of those VMs will all include the same base disk or a single copy of the template base disk will be store once
Before deploying 10's of VM using the fast clone feature for my VDI setup I was asking myself if Xen Orchestra will actually reuse the base disk (only one copy somewhere) and just snapshot the delta disk for each VM.
Will I end up with multiple copies of the base disk for every fast clone VM?
I would like to know if there is a way to setup Xen Orchestra two hae a single backup job but at two location, one local for fast restore and one at a remote location for disaster at primary site.
I understand that two jobs could do it, but isn't efficient?
Hi, I add the same thing last week. Yes it was a driver issue that got through Windows Update. I actually download the latest driver from Citrix and it solved my issue, I also de-activate the Windows update tools. I didn't try to inject the drivers, I restore a backup from the night before.
