Tomorrow @Darkbeldin could you try to export a VM with a disk bigger than 25GiB in OVA? (on XOA latest). Thanks!

I tried an export on Edge (vs chrome), it got to 475MB before it failed, which is further than it gets in chrome...doesn't seem very helpful though.

@tjkreidl if you can do me a favor and paste the path to the various logs to look at, i'm happy to, just not sure the right places to make sure i catch

i just tried firefox as well, exports at about 1.4MB/s for about 440MB and then beings to slowly slow down until it hits 0 and then fails

@sluflyer06 Storage I/O logs should go to /var/log/SMlog if I recall correctly.

@tjkreidl not seeing anything, it looks like the same text repeated more or less through the log over the hours i manually scrolled through and tried some searches.

                    I searched for W(w)arn, W)warning, (E)error

@tjkreidl http vs https? How are you exporting with http? The URL I get is https, i tried manually changing that to http but that didn't work

I also tried from a W10 VM and Ubuntu desktop VM, same results.

Hmm might be unrelated to XO.

Can you export the VM in XVA?

Apparently the download failed on my side I think recreating the file after download.
                            I will retry tomorrow.

It's seems I'm able to reproduce the issue with OVA i'm unable to export without an error.

@Darkbeldin Checking in on if any progress has been made here, i think I tried either on the latest release or the one before and still could not export OVA. Just seeing where things stand with this, there's seems to be a huge amount of focus on being able to bring people INTO xcp-ng with frequent new features and warm migrations and everything but then once we're in we're trapped.

Thanks for all the great stuff.

                                    "trapped" 😆

I think we fixed a problem on master recently, please try again.

@olivierlambert I mean, it's a good kind of trapped right, XCP-NG is nice. It's still nice to know you can test other options easily without rebuilding from scratch though.

Will that be in the next official monthly drop?

If you are using XOA, yes, it will be available in latest in 2 weeks.

If you are using the sources, just git pull from master, yarn && yarn build and you are set 🙂

@olivierlambert Is this recent enough to capture it?
                                          Xen Orchestra, commit a2451

If so, it still fails to export for me.

It's a recent commit, however the simple answer is be always up to date to HEAD (the latest commit) before reporting a problem 🙂

                                            As per https://xen-orchestra.com/docs/community.html#report-a-bug

Otherwise, we lose valuable time to check your commit and understand if something changed before.
