All CR copies created with auto start enabled.

      • One of clusters goes emergency power off.
      • After problem was solved and cluster goes up, i lost access to XO because XO CR copy on that cluster also run with same IP.
      • In that situation only way is to use desktop client (which is deprecated and can't do some things).
      • yes i can shut down VM via console, but on that stage i still don't know reason, why XO is unavailable.

So, one easy solution - disable "auto power on" during CR backup.
Any hints here, or need new options for backup tasks?

Today similar problem. During CR, the target host suffered powerloss. After recovery, VM (name "Importing.......") booted on backup host. Boot drive was already copied before powerloss.

Hi @tonyp90, strange that this happened on your backup host as it is not supposed to, since we prevent VMs to auto-start when Incremental Replication target host is rebooted (see https://docs.xen-orchestra.com/xo5/incremental_replication).
Which XO version are you running ? Do you have a license so you could open a support ticket ?

Hi there. Using XCP-NG 8.3 with XO from sources. It was 6a5eb1205 (already updated it).
There was active backup task with "temporary disabled" hover on cancel button. But nothing active in task menu.

After shutting down "Importing....." VM and rebooting the host for a second time, VM starts again. VM had autostart ON and "continuous replication" tag. Maybe the "lock" for disabling the autostart is applied only after the task is done?

Today I will try replicate the issue with some testing VM.

Looks like the new build keeps retention snapshots in single VM instead of creating multiple VMs. Wasn't able to replicate the issue.

I thought that the update wouldn't solve the problem because my build was still much newer than this thread.

Hi @tonyp90, can you confirm issue is resolved with the latest version ? (I saw 6a5eb1205 is from Oct 2025!). Thanks!
