@olivierlambert Well that was easy. Much appreciated!

RE: Ghost Tasks keep appearing
@olivierlambert I spun up a new XOA (that process is pretty impressive, btw), and can confirm that I see the tasks there as well.

RE: Ghost Tasks keep appearing
@olivierlambert ok, you bring up a great point and that gives me some ideas of things to try.
Tell me - are backup jobs stored on the server, or stored in XOA? If I spin up a new XOA, will my backup jobs I've configured show up?

Ghost Tasks keep appearing
I've recently migrated all of my VMs to new hardware. XOA keeps showing me a bunch of VM import tasks that are at 0%.
The Cancel and Destroy options are blocked (red circle with a line through it on mouse hover). The hardware that previously hosted the VMs is off. I've rebooted xcp-ng a few times. I'm not really sure what I did to cause this, or what I need to do to clear these out. But I would say my interest is really pretty limited to the solution, and not the cause.
I'm using XOA in the ronivay docker container

RE: Ghost Backup job keeps failing
@florent any other ideas in order to resolve this?

RE: Ghost Backup job keeps failing
@florent thanks for getting back to me! Unfortunately, I bring only bad news.

./db-cli.mjs ls job

@florent any update? This job is still appearing regularly, and I'd love to get it purged.

RE: Ghost Backup job keeps failing
@olivierlambert @florent Whoops. Yes, ok. In the CLI for my docker container. It seems I didn't need to be in the xo-server folder, I needed to be in the dist subfolder. But here are my results

RE: Ghost Backup job keeps failing
@florent I've pulled up the console for xcp-ng, but I can't figure out how to change paths. The cd and ls commands don't work at all, and I'm struggling to find this in the documentation.

RE: Ghost Backup job keeps failing
@olivierlambert I am now on c2eb6, and not seeing any change. My container updated last night at 10PM, and a new failed ghost snapshot occurred at 5AM this morning.
Again, you can see in my screenshots above, the ID is 44d4, which is not an ID that I have available in my list of backup jobs.
-
RE: Ghost Backup job keeps failing
@olivierlambert Oh. I have absolutely no idea how to reproduce this. It's happening automatically.
-
RE: Ghost Backup job keeps failing
@olivierlambert I forgot I have XOA as well. I just booted that up, but backup jobs is completely blank.
-
RE: Ghost Backup job keeps failing
@olivierlambert Ugh, well, I wish it were that easy. I run XOA in a docker container (ronivay/xen-orchestra), and it appears the maker of my docker container may be having issues, as the last 3 builds have failed. To be continued...

Ghost Backup job keeps failing
At some point my old snapshot jobs stopped working. Really have no idea why. I rebuilt them and the new ones work. I now have a ghost backup job that regularly runs and fails. It's not really an issue, just annoying to see in my logs.
Here are all of my recent failed jobs:
these are all the jobs I have:
I really just want to get rid of the ghost job. Any ideas?

RE: Need help getting backups configured
@olivierlambert Ok, so temporarily moving both VMs to the larger disk, and then recreating the 78GB storage (which is on the same physical disk that hosts XCP-ng) as thin is a viable solution to be able to start taking snapshots on this drive?
I suppose I wanted to be sure it was viable before I pulled the trigger on it. After doing this, I would be able to dedicate the larger drive to DR.
-
RE: Need help getting backups configured
Bump. Really would appreciate help on this.
-
RE: Need help getting backups configured
@danp Yep. Well aware. But let's both admit that snapshots are categorized by XCP-ng under "Backups". I want snapshots for rollback purposes before making serious changes to either server. OMV doesn't see many serious changes, so it's less critical. While I'm focused more on Snapshots at the moment (I have some serious changes I want to make to the Ubuntu server), as you can see, I also mentioned DR.
