    @cmanos No problem, glad I could helped. As Olivier also pointed above, it's not an issue anymore when using QCOW2 which is currently in beta, so hopefully it's only a short workaround

    interesting can you try to do a perfomance test while using block storage ? [image: 1762419476977-81709355-5c09-4581-a424-9245a367bbdb-image.png] This will store backup are multiple small ( typically 1MB ) files , that are easy to deduplicated, and the merge process will be moving / deleting files instead of modifying one big monolithic file per disk. It could sidestep the hydratation process. This is the mode by default on S3 / azure, and will probably be the mode by default everywhere in the future, given its advantages (Note for later : don't use XO encryption at rest if you need dedup, since even the same block encrypted twice will give different results)

    Yes, they are created either: on demand for users when we need in XO 6 Now, XO 6 is becoming the main driver for new endpoint as the UI is providing more and more features.

    This approach isn’t entirely foolproof since I can’t use a wildcard, and I don’t know how many disks will be attached to the VM. For now, it will never exceed two disks, so I can explicitly include both in the ignore_changes statement. That’s an acceptable solution for us. Thanks for your support.

    Rename Networks on XO Hosts

    I came across this and the solution I upvoted i.e. renaming in pool view, works for me. However, I would like to +1 the idea @Forza put in his post. Cause organizing it all can get quite confusing. XOA being the excellent tool that it is, has this lacking. For those who come across this and feel discouraged? Do please mention your needs to the team here! They are VERY good at putting these kinds of things on the roadmap if there is a need/want for it! For myself, I use a spreadsheet to keep track of networks, hosts and pools. I do not rely on XOA alone. Which tbh is probably best practice anyway, in case a backup fails or the world blows up.

    You will need to download the desired ISO and use it to install the base OS. Then follow the official docs or use one of the available installation scripts. AFAIK, you should be fine with Fedora.

    @olivierlambert Yes, each job has a unique identifier and willl not touch backup files of other jobs.

    What operating system do you have? Does it run on the same type of real server? If not. If VM it is Windows, you must reset (sysprep) or insert the hdd drivers. Acronis is a solution for that, or Dism++ and ImDisk to insert dirvers on vhd. If VM it's Linux, you don't have the correct disk name or partition ID, the boot partition must be redone. Reinstall kernel, in chroot with live CD, to solve the problem. For an easier process, I recommend Hyper-V -> VirtualBox -> XCP-ng. With VirtualBox you will have fewer problems when restoring the boot. And VirtualBox is much more compatible with XCP-ng.

    @olivierlambert Yes, it seems so. The switches are of different brands between RACs and since a year ago the datacenter was divided in 2 companies and we are not sure how they have organized the networks. Then I had another error but with "rescan all disks" on the host it was solved.

    You should be able to go to the network tab for the VM, click the network it's currently connected to, and then change it to the new one. If you have the management tools installed this can be done live, otherwise you'd need to shut the VM down.     @Danp Yes, that was it! Last update I thougt to find a solution to a different problem bij installing nodejs 17. Removing version 17, and manually updating to the correct version did fix the issue. Thank you!

    This error can happen in different cases depending on whether you're working with JavaScript on the server-side with Node.js , or client-side in the browser. There are several reasons behind "Cannot use import statement outside a module" error, and the solution depends on how you call the module or script tag. Add type="module" inside the script tag When working with ECMAScript modules and JavaScript module import statements in the browser, you'll need to explicitly tell the browser that a script is module. To do this, you have to add type="module" onto any ‹script› tags that point to a JavaScript module. Once you do this you can import that module without issues. <script type="module" src="./index.js"></script> If you are working on Node.js or react applications and using import statements instead of require to load the modules, then ensure your package.json has a property "type": "module" as shown below. { // ... "type": "module", // ... }
