@olivierlambert said in Feedback in regards to upcoming XO update: I'm not sure to get what you said. Right now, we have a specific partnership with 2CRSi, having access to their engineers who design the case and integrate the components inside. This helps us to give exclusive insight on the hardware, and on their side, providing XCP-ng pre-installed. I'm not against having other partners, but you can imagine that Dell or HPE are taking more time to provide XCP-ng pre-installed on it. I never heard of NovaTech before, I'll be happy to work with them if they want to work with us I have dropped a message to Novatech with a link to your website letting them know about you. They're currently closed for today but when their people come in tomorrow they'll get my message, be ready during that day onwards for possible contact from them! Your already got a French municipality as a customer providing their servers with your Virtualisation software stack. Well if you manage to partner with Novatech you'll also have the capacity to gain MBDA along with Thales as customers through them! They're a solutions producer and provider partnering with them would allow both of you to benefit, as well as incorporate XCP-ng, XOA and/or XOSTOR into the Novatech solutions. Each of the solutions provided by Novatech is bespoke to a specific customer, built using off the shelf commercial components. Pay attention to their video "Our Story #3 About Us" as they provide worry free computing to the companies working to change the world we live in. All of their people enable their customers to do remarkable things. What's more worry free than not having to worry about, a business's product policy of their closed source proprietary software? Partnering with them would enable their products and solutions to have Vates VMS as a component to them and reduce the worries of the Novatech customers!

Just scrapped the previous XOSTOR install. I'm going to "trial" XOA + XOSTOR 1.0

@DustinB said in Imbedded Docker: Has anyone else done this, and can provide benefits or faults in doing so, besides the obvious that this isn't officially supported? I am actually going through the process of trying this right now, and am having significant difficulties with the xscontainer-prepare-vm piece - it doesn't work. So far, I have built a Docker VM, made sure all prerequisites are in there, and then run this script. It does insert an ssh-rsa key into my user's authorized_keys file, but the public key it inserts doesn't actually work. The host is not able to ssh into the VM due to the certificate not matching and requires a password, which does not work because it can't pass the VM check. Has anyone else seen this behaviour before?

We are very well aware about all of this. But we are not a distro entirely based on RHEL at all (again, all the network, kernel, storage and compute plus many other things are NOT coming from RHEL). On a personal point of view, I'm a strong proponent of Copyleft licenses and the greater good, in the original spirit of free software. To me, there's a real moral contract between the software editors and the users. You can read my detailed opinion in this blog post: https://virtualize.sh/blog/the-moral-contract/ Due to those personal opinions, I'm really unhappy with RedHat move (and behind Alma and Rocky), but this is NOT clashing with our position for the next major release. So no, we won't be directly disrupted by this move.

The issue is within pools: XCP-ng isn't meant to have pool members down (for various reasons), so the scenario is only limited to pools with one host only

@stormi said in XCP-ng 8.0.0 xsconsole doesn't show Host Performance Information nor VM's CPU and Memory Usage: I wanted to have a look at the commit history for xsconsole but the github repository at https://github.com/xenserver/xsconsole Thank you, @stormi I've opened a bug report at bugs.xenserver.org about it Specifically: https://bugs.xenserver.org/browse/XSO-961 . Now you may want to open a bug report there about the missing information in the console. This could allow to know if it's a bug or a "feature". Good idea. My bug report: https://bugs.xenserver.org/browse/XSO-962
