It explains exactly the reasons and answer your question You can imagine that if we have hundreds of 3rd party scripts, each doing their own way to install, it means we'll have to de facto support them all, despite it's unrelated to Xen Orchestra itself. Which means spending resources instead of working on Xen Orchestra directly (or fixing XO bugs). That's why it's preferable to open a ticket in the Github repo of the script creator, because that's exactly there you'll find the right answer, and also making sure the script creator could even fix their scripts if needed. If you need community support in here, you have to install it by following the official documentation: https://docs.xen-orchestra.com/installation#from-the-sources

@bdenv-r are you trying XOSTOR on 8.2 or 8.3 ? had many problem of performance and tap-drive locking my VDIs on 8.2 xostor would like to know if 8.3 xostor still have issues

The problem with those providers is, that the additional IP is usually L3 routed to the physical hosts IP. A better solution would be to get a /29 subnet or similar, where the gateway is handled by the provider and then configure that subnet on a specific VLAN which is available on all hosts where you want the VM's to be able to run. More work for the provider, since they have to setup the gateway IP within the /29 subnet on their router and then configure the VLAN on the switchports towards your hosts, but its the best way to make the VM's agile.

Don't worry, you did right to ask! Quick explanation: it's exposed in XO because it's a special parameter given to the VM (a kind of a special device) detected by Windows, making it install the driver for it.

Not with XOA then (yet). We might switch XOA to UEFI in the future for that. If you are using XO from the source, sure, you can do that

@MajorP93 I'm running with Node v24.11.0 now (on Debian 11 and 12). There have been some issues with older versions of 24, but to seems fine at this time.

If you can meet them during the event, it may give the foundations for a new partnership and/or collaboration!

@CodeMercenary I spoke too soon. Came in last night and it sounded like it was ready for take-off. So I restarted the container. This is so ridiculous... I think I did get 24-48 hours of quiet. So, a recheck interval of many minutes is probably fine. I think by default they start at like 5 seconds, which is needless.

@jsox79 No I did not. Disclaimer - I inherited this FreePBX system and don't know a whole lot about it. Once I got it to boot, I tested by calling my cell from a desk phone and making a page, and both worked as expected so I'm considering everything to be working. Didn't realize re-registering modules was something I may have needed to do.

@stevewest15 I believe this issue was resolved when the health check system was changed to detect network connectivity at startup so it did not need to wait for then entire VM to boot. Needs the Xen tools to be installed. I have not had an issue since this change.
