Trying something new... Remove all servers from XO and log out. Host 1 is powered off. On host 2. xe task-list uuid ( RO) : 727ecb6b-6f2e-15eb-601b-110b2478996b name-label ( RO): Async.host.power_on name-description ( RO): status ( RO): pending progress ( RO): 0.000 xe task-cancel uuid=727ecb6b-6f2e-15eb-601b-110b2478996b Task is still there. From XCP-NG Center. Shutdown all VMs and host2 (All powered off). Powered up both servers. Wait 15 minutes to make sure no tasks are pending (xe task-list). Logging output to file via putty of; tail -f /var/log/audit.log Added host2 (master) to XO Settings/Servers. The Async.host.power_on task hasn't come back.

Are you sure the job isn't already running, as per the error message?

Why does the backup use snapshots and not CBT

We have already a branch started with CBT (we had first to store the backup metadata outside the snapshot itself because we'll remove it with CBT). This work is now done and now Florent is directly working on CBT

@MathieuRA Thanks for doing the fix, I have tested this and I confirm it is working. I am able to migrate VMGuest to a different host by ticking the check box in the vmlist. @psafont thats good to know the system will prevent you from uploading the same ISO. Since my latest testing i cant seeem to get XO-CE to show the incorrect file name .img of the iso that was uploaded. But know @plaidypus is not alone in this as I have seen it myself and that is why you will see most of the iso in the picture have a date just a few days prior to this recent testing. I manually deleted the iso that were .img and manually uploaded the ISOs again.

just a personal opinion I'm leaving here, no follow-up needed. If I want to run containers I use OKD. I've always seen all the comments about keeping the dom0 controller to a minimum, docker alone adds a 2GB overhead to it, no more problems in adding stuff to it.

@olivierlambert @olivierlambert said in OVA import failing: Keep in mind the file has to flow from your browser toward your XOA, then to your XOA to your host, which might use another network share itself. If your XOA could mount the place where you have your OVA directly, you could use upload-ova utility (see https://github.com/vatesfr/xen-orchestra/tree/master/%40xen-orchestra/upload-ova#usage ) to send them directly. Going to look into that, thank you.

@ThierryC01 said in XCP-ng Windows PV Drivers 8.2.2: Why is there no video drivers for Windows, I have a Windows 10 Pro VM and the video lags a bit compared to my Linux Desktop VMs despite having 8GO RAM and 16MO (?16 max???) video memory. Because it's rudimentary GFX and has no acceleration at all. It's not made for what you might expect.

@redakula said in Coral TPU PCI Passthrough: Frigate.nvr which is one of the popular uses for the Coral do not recommend it for new installs either. Frigate updated their recommendations because of the Google decision to sunset the device and because there are alternative options available to frigate for image inferencing. The coral is still supported though, and frigate is not the only use case or platform that can benefit from an accelerator. At the end of the day if you've already got the hardware, and it's efficient enough to run, then not using it is a waste or resources that could be allocated to other VMs.

@darkbeldin For the record, both vm's were running on the same esxi host when exported. This may or may not be a factor (I suspect it is).

It's also explained very clearly here: https://xen-orchestra.com/docs/community.html (in the first point) Always update to latest code available before reporting a problem

We don't have any other report of this issue elsewhere. Double check you are on the completely latest XO version, and alternatively, try with XOA on latest channel.

@olivierlambert we are thinking about implementing a relationnal DB in the future. Maybe it could offer to stock snapshots as "archived"... I don't know for now. I understand that it could be risky to delete old snapshots, and maybe the responsability of setting the snaspshots retention can be an ACL subject... There are plenty of avenues of work on this topic, and more generally on the retention of information about objects, tasks, and other actions. It's a real in-depth topic.
